Just kidding! tonight is the last night in London

I was all set for one of those life moments, turning the page and opening a new chapter—only British Airways thought differently! My flight was delayed and delayed and delayed and then finally canceled.

In classic airline fashion they were never very specific about the reasons; they said something about “operations” and claimed that “engineers” were involved. But whatever it was, it qualified me for a hotel and meal voucher. So my last night in London will actually be tonight at a Holiday Inn somewhere in the outskirts near Windsor…

On the upside, British Airways did an excellent job with the rebooking. By the time I got up to the counter to collect my vouchers, I had already been booked on (and checked in to) the first flight out in the morning.
