Part of the deal I struck with my company when I moved to London was that I could come back to Seattle whenever I needed to. And part of the deal with Justin was that I would make sure I “needed to” as often as I could.

So, since I left Justin to do the holidays by himself while I went galavanting through Australia with Amanda, I figured I was due for a trip in the New Year. I scheduled some meetings that I “needed” to attend and flew out for a week!

The meetings were fine (European privacy law — everyone’s favourite topic!!) but the weekend is what I was looking forward to. We had a neighbours’ party on Friday, and on Saturday did a workout at a gym that a friend of ours just opened before heading over to Bainbridge for dinner with Justin’s parents and some friends of ours from the ward in Seattle.

The views of Seattle from the ferry are just the best.
