I’m in Copenhagen!

Observations so far:

  1. Apparently there are no taxis at the airport. As someone who has found taxis in many airports in the world, I couldn’t find them anywhere here. So either they’re well hidden, or the Danes are very serious about public transit.
  2. The Danes are out late! I’m arriving at midnight and there are still many people happily out and about, cycling through the streets.
  3. They are all blond and beautiful. I’m sure I’m sure I’d find some normal looking folks if I looked harder, but let’s just say that Nordic genes aren’t terrible…
  4. My hotel is, um, the most expensive converted-hostel-pretending-to-be-chic I’ve ever stayed in. My room is the size of a closet and 10 feet from the train tracks. There’s a complimentary set of earplugs.

But I’m happy to be here! I thought for a minute we wouldn’t get out of Luxembourg (standby on an overbooked flight, then delayed quite a while with a tight layover in Amsterdam). But all went smoothly and I’ve successfully navigated public transit and found my “hotel” and am looking forward to exploring more this weekend.

Hope you’re able to get some sleep! And, hopefully work will keep you out of the “hotel” so can enjoy being out amongst the beautiful people. (Their ancestors were probably from Riverdale.) 😉😉
