I’m a sucker for pretty, clever things

I went to the department store looking for a set of dishes and was put off by the high price and boring aesthetic. I figured I would just get the basic IKEA set and move on. Then I stepped into In-Residence, the lovely little boutique across the passage from my flat. I met the proprietor, Jackie, who explained that her shop is devoted to showcasing the work of up-and-coming designers.

As I browsed I noticed a set of urns. Nice, but I didn’t need any urns. Perhaps reading my mind, Jackie called out, “Those urns? They’re actually dinner sets.” Oh, well in that case . . .

Needless to say, I got one. So much for IKEA plates!

It’s the Osorio version of the Yuan dinner set by Ibride.
