Lovely Paris

Yesterday I attempted to work more or les normally, though since my Parisian colleague was in Luxembourg for meetings I opted not to actually go into the office. Instead Amanda and I found an “anti cafe” where you pay by the hour to sit and work for as long as you like with all the snacks and beverages you need. It was a slick setup and I got quite a lot done before lunch.

We took a break for lunch at the delectable Miznon and then walked back to the flat (with a few shopping stops along the way).

Unfortunately the rest of the day wasn’t quite so productive. The heat made working quite miserable, and once the calls with Seattle started I felt like my productivity ended.

But instead of working late to close out a few more things, we went out for dinner and a walk along the Seine at dusk. It was lovely and a good reminder that work isn’t everything — sometimes you have to take a moment to appreciate being in Paris in summer with a friend.
