Reykjavik!

We made it! The last flight out of Paris got us to Reykjavík just after midnight and literally minutes before Dennis the storm hit.

By the time we had collected our luggage and climbed onto the shuttle, the wind and snow had begun. We crawled our way through blizzard conditions into town, more than an hour away.

From the bus station we walked the 15 minutes through the quiet, blustery streets of sleeping Reykjavík. By then the storm was less of a blizzard and more blowing grit.

The flat turned out to be nearly everything we have hoped for—cozy and warm and ready for bed. But sadly low on hot cocoa 😉

By this time it was nearly 3am and I was starving. Fortunately I had brought a right little feast with me!

And now to bed. The sun won’t rise until 9:30am, so there’s still plenty of night to get some shut-eye.
