Graduation!

Twenty-four years after Heather and I donned the mortar board and crossed the stage, Heather’s eldest, Brynn, has now gone the same. She’s officially graduated and out into the world!

And credit where credit is due: I went into the event dreading what would surely be a tedious slog as we worked through a list of 650 Idaho teenagers. But the announcer kept things moving and we were out of there in what felt like record time. Phew.

From there to the homestead for a celebratory dinner of tacos and family.

What a fun thing. It brought back memories of my own graduation—some of which still felt very current and fresh, others of which were more distant. I felt grateful for the good d that have stayed, and for the opportunities that have followed sense.
